When you get to specializing in a certain area its fun and you can build a collection that under good conditions you can sell at some point for a reasonable price...its fun to hunt for the item you need to complete a page or have been searching for ...but for real fun..find a stamp dealer that lets you pick from pages for 8 cents a stamp or whatever....Bobgggg and I were dumpster diving for hours at a dealers table in White Plains ..i got a bunch of 2 dollar catalog Mexican airmails from the 1940's for pennies apiece...i have no allusions that my worldwide albums will sell for much of anything..but it sure is fun filling spaces !
I've said this many times on the SCF, but here I go again. I'm pleased that you have the opportunity go to shows and dealers. Those of us who live in the suburbs of the boonies really envy you. The closest show to me is 5 hours (New Orleans or Dallas ) to 7 hours (Little Rock ) so I don't get to experience talking to real people.
