Can anyone give me information about this precancel? At first glance, it looks as if it was outlined lettering for the city/state name, however, since some of the letters in "New" and the bottom ba appear partially filled in, it leads me to believe it could just be poorly inked example.



Any ideas?

Just poor inking on a type 204.

Thanks. I figured as much. In any case, it certainly stands out as an unusual example because of the poor inking.
