Here it is.. note the pen mark. It is not a pen cancel. Since the first issue stamps were put on the left bottom of envelope, sometimes part of the address would be on the stamp. So, since an auction house decided to sell it at the "Pen cancel" type. CV250. I get a nice #1 with blue cancel.. at a really, really low price.  |

Nice stamp stampvirgin.
I know I was really pleased when I got my Canada #1. I also know a fellow who comes to our chats with the nick "Ones" and he specializes in #1s from all countries. Also take into consideration that this also includes #1s of semi-postals, airmails, etc etc

Is that #1 still on paper? I saved an image of it and then zoomed in, it looks like it still on paper.
If it is still on paper would soaking dissolve the blue ink? |
