I must be dumber than a bag of hammers, but I can't figure out the system for typing precancels. I've down loaded a state page group from precancel.com and cannot understand how you know whats what.
I believe what you have since you downloaded a state album page is a city and a number like 204, 841, & L-1HS as examples. I believe you are missing the chart showing the style types & related details.
clintd, First The whole subject of precancel styles is very confusing. You might want to start here with the style charts http://www.precancels.com/types.htm Many of the styles are very similar, post pics of the ones you have trouble with. There are several members that are really great with precancels.
To some, the complications of precancels collecting are a turn on, for some a turn off. You can't figure it all out in 36 hours. Lots of people here can help with specific cases or general questions.
