How do you know it is a 62B rather than a 68A ? Either way it has bad toning and missing perfs. I'd start by giving it a good bath and see if it could be cleaned up a bit. Also is that a tear or crease running from the top of the stamp through the "A" in the word postage ?
We would need to see a close up high resolution scan of the top of the stamp to determine whether it is Illustration type 27A or 27.

Hello CubanStampIssues:

I don't want to discourage you, but I doubt this stamp will have any "market value" because of poor condition. This is even more true if there is indeed a tear or crease running from the top of the stamp through the "A" -- as stallzer mentioned. But either way, the first step is to verify you have properly identified its catalog number.

While you're waiting for other (more knowledgeable) members to weigh in on this issue, let me encourage you to post a message in the Introductions forum. It will give everyone a chance to get to know you and learn more about your collecting interests.

I assume by your choice of nicknames you collect Cuba -- there have been several threads here recently about Cuban stamps. If you haven't seen them already, use the SEARCH button at top of the page to find them.

Finally, I'll say

KirkS

unless this stamp has a grill, the value would be negligible based on its condition which is unlikely to be able to be significantly improved. Even, if grilled, the value would be low.

Cubanstampissues, The stamps shown is not a 62B it is a 68. The 62B does not have the outer frameline above the "U.S. POSTAGE".

I would say it has no value what so ever.
That tear from the top down kills it.
Maybe someone on ebay will buy it as a space filler for a couple of bucks.
I was offered a #17 - this past weekend for $10.00. It had a tear like the one above. I said no, it was to ugly for me to own.
I suggested the guy just bury it somewhere to give it a decent death.

It's not a 62b from a cursory glance... shade is way off and the margins are way too big for a 62b
