Can anyone ID this precancel? I can't find it in the catalog. As first I thought it was a 232, but the lines on this example are 15mm apart. Thank you.

I've got a similar precancel (although on a different issue) that I've always assumed was a 232 (lines are 15mm apart):

...or am I wrong?

According to the description, 232 are block caps 2.5 mm high between 1.1 mm lines 12 to 13.5 mm apart. The cancel fits the first two conditions but not the last. Perhaps a sub-category?

My old Hoover Bros. catalogue says that the Concord precancel of this type (Universal Style 12, which is now type 232) had a spacing of 15 mm between lines. Your 1932 Washington 2c stamp was a bit tough to come by, as it was listed as being valued at 60 cents back then (copyright date of 1937 on this catalogue). I dug around a bit and found my old 1933 1st edition specialty catalogue for this issue, and the 2c wasn't listed yet. It must have taken a while before it was used as a precancel.

A bit of confirmation - the 1989 PSS Washington Bicentennial Catalogue lists only types 232, 703 and L-2.

My Concord NH 232 is also 15mm between the lines. I will send a URL of this conversation to the New Hampshire state editor and see if he has a comment.

The PSS state editor for New Hampshire wrote me back and said - thank you - the description of the 232 type in the PSS catalog needs to be changed. The changes typically get published in the PSS Forum first - where the data becomes 'official'. Changes are aggregated and this one should make it into the PSS Town and Type 8th Edition when it gets published. Well done to spot this anomaly. Chas Adrion [state editor for NJ].

Well Frankie Thanks! Through this forum It appears to have discovered an error in type, &/or a new type all together.

You're welcome Warrehouse! Considering that I'm new here, I'm a bit humbled.
