I was checking e-bay for 1847 issue lots, looking for the very rare bargain that is seldom found on e-bay (at least where 1847 issue is concerned)and I stumbled upon this listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MEWAX:IT I would love to buy this cover since I own its "sister" cover but I can't bring myself to pay that price, especially since it is three times more than what I paid for mine. Thought it is neat to see the same addressed letter from that issue, stamp placed the same way etc.

first picture is mine, second is the one listed on e-bay:

Now that is most excellent, do you think that the same person addresed these? The writing is very similar but some small differences. Not cheap, or even affordable to me, but If you don't buy it now you may find yourself in this same situation at a later date. "Just sayin"

That is so cool to see the similarities those two covers share. Even the horizontal pen stroke cancelling the stamp is the same.

Hard to get something like that with now-a-days stamps and covers I imagine.

It is incredible but price is still way to steep, I'll be kicking myself in the butt no matter what I do.

Yours is nicer.

Of course, it lacks those attractive mathematical calculations

Both those stamps do seem to have nice margins. I'd be willing to bet the same clerk made both the pen cancels.
