Sometimes I find a cancellation or cover/letter from a place which is soon to suffer tragedy, joy, or some historic event, but of course they don't know it is coming. Here is a cancellation from Schoefield barracks st. on Hawaii, Oct 21, 1941, just about 6 weeks before the attack that led to the US entering WWII. Anyone else have anything similar?
I wonder if someone has a cover from closer to Dec. 7, 1941?
