i thought about a prime Guatemala cover that I had and for some reason I could not locate it..naturally I went crazy tearing through all known stockbooks etc..in a deep funk..considering suicide...but in its own good time it occurred to me that I had a cover album for business size envelopes..one of those one cover to a page deals and sure enough there it was the last one in the book ! The sun came out, my wife was vindicated..i know nobody else has had a similar experience !

All but the considering suicide part, Phil. Of course maybe things look different to you where Guatemala is concerned!

I forget where I put stuff all the time. For me it is best to stop looking for it and it eventually turns up.
On the flip side, I find really great things all the time that I had forgotten about.

The first place I look for a missing in action stamp or cover is the scanner.

The doc told me to lose weight too.
I have a bad habit of eating pie for dessert that I need to overcome.
Cherry pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie, peach pie, pecan pie, I like them all.

I love pie, too. Especially apple, cherry, any kind of berry, fruit pie. If there is one in the house, that's just about all I'll eat until it is gone. My only way to overcome this (and chocolate bars and jelly donuts and ice cream) is to not bring them into the house and avoid temptation in that way. When I'm looking for something sweet, I settle for fruit or a handful of raisins (Dole seem best) or a few dates (Dole again) along with walnuts (kind of like the date candy my mother would make at Christmas with dates and walnuts when I was a kid but without the confectioners sugar on them). To make my point, I had a dish of chocolate ice cream after dinner, then went back and since it didn't seem there was too much left, finished it off! Will have to keep that out of the house for a while. Fortunately my wife and I like different treats, so not bringing these home doesn't effect her. And since the kids are on their own, we don't have to keep treats for them anymore, either.

As they say, "Been there, done that, bought the T-shirt!"

I also have reservations to do it again soon!
