I think your information on "number printed" is incorrect. According to Scott Specialized, the quantity issued for that block of stamps was 196,275,000. First day of issue city was Boston, Massachusetts.

(The 49,000,000 number was the rounded off quantity of EACH of the 4 stamps #1480-1483, so 49,000,000 x 4 = 196,000,000 total. First Day Covers numbered 897,870.)

OK here is the easiest way to create a page :

On the search bar on the left type in the name of the set you would like to create in the following format :

[Country] [Date] [Name of Set]

So for your set it would probably be USA 2010 Adopta a Pet

Then Click go , the page that follows this will have a create this page link in red - click this

You will then be given a blank editing page and the first thing that needs to be set is the category.

In the blank area type [[Category:United States of America]]

and then save the page.

I really need to put type up some simple help guides, it gets easy once you know how.

Try that and I will monitor it from my side.

What might be easier is if someone gave me a list of US sets in the format

USA [Year] [Set name]

I can easily create the pages which can then be edited to add images etc.

Edwin: It does seem like that at first, but once the basics are understood it allows complete flexibility to what can be added to a page and at the same time letting everyone collaborate at the same time. It is exactly the same software that wikipedia is built on.

Thanks for the offer of scans

Well don Smauggie! the only thing missing is to give the page a category - all pages must have at least one category.

To categorise a page you do the following

[[Category:categoryname]]

So this page would first be put in to the United States of America category so people can find it from the country listing. And then it can be put into any number of other categories eg. Thematics - Animals, Dogs, Cats.

So I would add at the bottom

[[Category:United States of America]]
[[Category:Animals]]
[[Category:Cats]]
[[Category:Dogs]]

Then when people view those categories they will see all the stamp sets with dogs or animals or cats or from the US.

Have a go at putting those categories in! Well done again, great work.
