I know basics on how to insert code in an ebay listing to add extra pics but does anyone know if using the photobucket IMG links will work properly? Just hate paying for all the extra pics plus some items require more than the 12 allowed through ebays picture manager. Any tips tricks would be helpful.

nitrolures,

I use phtobucket and put as many images as needed on my ebay listings. Free of charge and problem free! It helps to know some basic html so to have the images appear where you want them to appear (centered, next or below each other etc.).

Hope that helps,

Avi

Figured it would work that easy but have seen alot of larger 50+ scan collections be hosted on their own website. I was thinking of doing a massive lot but I'm already over 300 scans and thats not doing any close ups. Auction would probably end before page finished loading. Definatly will be helpful for other items I need to move.

Question about Photobucket - can you do group uploads or ftp uploading? I host my own photos as well through a cheap yahoo business account, but I'm uploading about 1000 to 2000 pics per auction thus anything that is slow to upload would be useless.

That is a really good question-- assuming you have 100-500 or more pics on photobucket would you need to copy and paste each individually . With self hosting I know you can have all pics on 1 page and simply add the url into the html to rediect people to the picture pages. I suppose you could create specific album in photobucket and direct to the link for that entire album but this wouldn't have your pics actually display in the listing. More info needed on this .

Well we are about 3 months into
putting up images in our listings with
ebay and are using about 20 images per week.
We can not get multiple photo bucket images
to work on our listings.
We are using the My Pictures area
that came with our computer to do this.
We use direct link code when we use photo bucket to list.

Sometimes our computer will not let us
post multiple images no matter how we do it.

The problem with uploading is usually your ISP. Most ISPs seriously choke upload speeds. We pay for Fios 20 down/10 up service and it's sweet.

FYI, 10GB of storage with unlimited bandwidth can be had at Godaddy.com for under $4/month. Their FTP will take it as fast as you and your ISP can send it.

Instead of uploading, Just copy and paste the HTML code from Photo-Bucket, switch from normal to HTML on your listing page, paste the HTML code and voila!
