I believe I these are Belgian tax stamps but I don't have any catalog number or near value for any of them. Would anyone have more information than my meager amount. Thanks in advance - Jeff
Hi Jeff, These are all Belgian general revenues from the 1923 set. The stamps were issued with two parts but you often find the top or bottom half on its own like the one on the left.
The green one is the top half of Barefoot Revenue #24, 10 francs, priced at 35p for the half stamp.
The next one is Barefoot Revenue #2, 20 centimes with control number, priced £1.50 for the whole stamp.
The last one is Barefoot Revenue #1a, 10 centimes without control number, priced 30p for the whole stamp.
Barefoot describes the last two as brown and grey but they look more like red and grey to my eyes in your scan.
Nigel, the are definitely not the same color, I am not sure with my colorblind what to call them, but they are not the same. Thanks millions for the numbers and near values. I love putting them in place. Probably and OCD thing.
