i picked this up at an antique shop for a dollar today because I had never seen its type before !

Very nice card, I have not seen these before. Really like the U.S. Navy cancel.

That is a sharp design. Awesome that it was soldier free mail usage during WWII.

I believe that this card you bought falls under the category of "V" Mail and is very collectible for specialists.

Others refer to it as "V" For Victory Mail but it is the same thing.

You might want to go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V-mail
