Was going through some early US FDC's and came upon this. As alluded to in someone's handwriting on the bottom left hand corner of the face, the cover originated in Washington, was postmarked and mailed "air mail" to New Jersey but has backstamps revealing that it made it's way via Chicago to New York. An interesting re-route, especially in 1925...and quite a few various postmarks from the period, too:

Nice cover, like the Chicago transit air mail duplex backstamps. I thick covers like this are much nicer than the cacheted FDC.
