POSTE SRPSKE AD issued first stamp this year:

MUSEUM EXHIBITS - OLD JEWELRY- on 24.Jan.2011. There are 2 stamps is set. Face values are 0,90 KM (0,46€) of both.



Jewelry in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century, combines and preserves the elements of the oldest Culture – ancient Balkan, Herzegovina, West Mediterranean, Levantine, Middle European.
Historical, political, economical and cultural conditions are very visibly manifested on the jewelry, as an inseparable part of clothing, jewelry has always reflected the current situation and the life of an environment. Bosnia-Herzegovina jewelry reflects the cultural complexity of which is present in all of its contents and that makes it very distinctive ("Bosnian". "Herzegovina"), but similar with jewelry neighboring and distant parts of the South Slavic and Balkan area....
The motive of our brands is tepeluk, the end of the nineteenth century.
