This one is cut off center but also has some flash paper left on the perforations.

Alaskazagnut, great stamps and a very excellent read recommended to me by Russ is
Quote:
The must have for this issue is The United States One Cent Stamp of 1851-1861 by Stanley Ashbrook (2 Volumes). They are the best references
. I would highly recommend it also. I am just on chapter ten and the wealth of information is astounding.

Thank you Russ.

These are all great, alaskazagnut.

I like anything with Ben Franklin on it

<---- See, he's right there

Thanks for posting them,

So Ashbrook thinks highly enough about these that he wrote a book about them? Cool. Any idea on what I should do a ebay BIN for? Or should I just start them out at .99 and see what happens. Should I try to sell them as singles or as a lot.

Do a search on ebay to get a good idea of sellin price. This will help you set a stategy. If you find a similar item that gets a lot of bid activity then use the sell similar item option before the item ends. When you do this your listing will be emailed to the non-winning bidders. This gets your item to people looking for it.
Edit: If you list on ebay always give higher resolution scans of front and back. This helps thebidder to feel confident about hidden faults.

I'm thinking grade the best and then sell the rest all at the same time as a lot. I would like to start at 399.99 for the 7 of them, which is sorta high but it has to be worth a try. Russ, if you can, check out the other thread (Franklin #3-4) regarding my postmark question. I think they are from the same place
