If only all grills were that obvious. I'm so used to looking for faint hints I didn't notice how much it stood out until I read Russ's comment. |

Good-looking stamps .. especially #88. I still have some work to do in finding the rest of the Q's I need for my collection. Enjoy the weekend! Lou |

I've never seriously looked at BOB before you posted the Q12. I looked up the set, and that's pretty nice. I may have to look into that further. |

I seriously think that to be a collector of the 3¢ Washington's that one needs to be a bit of a Stamp masochist. I'm not too sure why I do it to myself, although I think it is a great design as I have 28 of them off cover. Of the 28 probably a dozen or so have grills that I gave up on trying to figure out because they always seem to measure or count out exactly between the numbers, never exactly. So I've just filed them under either "E" or "F" grill. Then trying to figure out the colors........but for some reason I'm attracted to them like a Moth to light. |

Yes it is.. I feel satisfied. I also just completed the Postal notes series.. (In one fell swoop) I bought a Liberty album last week from a guy who showed up at our stamp club. His grandfather passed and he came in with 4 big totes of stamps and supplies. I have already recovered the cost of the album. :)
He had a 3 part world set, must have been over 1000 pages per album (if not more). The German section had the first 150-+ spaces filled. Someone bought all three albums for $100.00 I am very sure they got their moneys worth. I tried to tell the guy to hang on to it and get an auction person to look at it, but he was in a hurry to get money.. Said he tossed out TWO bookcases full of catalogs and books. (I almost fainted) |
