Hi,

How is possible to see a shift print on back?

You can see zoom of 10 here (bottom left center) :

There is an half circle at bottom right too.

I add a picture with automatic color variation :

If you look at the bottom near center, you'll see a 01 with a circle. Samething at the bottom right, half circle.

Thank you!

There is a slight image offset on the back which is common on flat plate printing. During the printing the completed sheets were stacked in stacks of 100 sheets with tissues between to prevent the wet ink from sticking to the bottom of the next sheet. These sheets were then moved to a drying area (the paper was moist abot 30% for the printing process). After the sheets had dried the tissue was removed and the stacks were placed on a press to flatten them for gumming and perforating. During the flattening the still slightly soft ink would produce a slight mirror image on the back of the sheet above it. It is very common for flat plate to have some degree of this back side offset.

Are these just slight 'off-sets'?

If so, they generally do not command anything much in a premium.

Thank you Russ for these explanation.

Premium is funny but not so important for me. I like to note information under the stamp in the album.

Thank you!
