Very nice. The completed album page really makes the difference! The fact that they are hinged is a fact of stamp collecting life back in that generation, so it gives it a kind of "retro" look, which (at least to me) doesn't detract at all from the set.

If this were facebook, I'd click "Like"!

Way to go! I don't mind hinged on used stamps at all.

Agree. All this search for 'perfection' seems to miss the point of collecting, which to me is being able to learn. However chacun a sa propre façon de collecte.

Cheers,

Hi Fred

Nice stamps to say the least. I had a chance to get the US airmail stamp #C1 used in a trade for a catalogue I had that a fellow wanted but never received it. He received his catalogue but, I never received the stamp. It was either lost in the mail, or was never sent

Sorry top get off topic but, as I said, these are nice stamps.

Well this page would not get a smiley face, I'm going to have to either trade the cover for a like C-14 off cover or steam her, the budget will not allow keeping the cover and purchasing one for the page. The cover is expendable. As I have stated before I don't really collect covers. But I do like em.

Yep this is a crappy scan.

Steam it ? Eeek.

You can mount it by slicing a slit in the page,
and showing half of the cover with the stamps,
Mount the cover on its own page, anything but steam.
Goodness, frights like that, I'll have to have a tea break and sticky bun.

Sliced page mounting :

Well all used Zeps came off of covers and there are more covers than there are used singles so... just sayin. A bit of OCD prevents me from putting anything out of order on my album pages, I wont even mix unused stamps on my pages, all my album covers must be Scott "green" so putting a cover or a partial cover on a page is not an option. Not to worry I wont destroy that cover, I really hate to part with it, but a used single would fit my wants better.
