I'll suggest another point,
modern stamp albums are very niggardly in their
information, "minimalism" is the de rigeur.

Everytime I open a country folder in my
virtual stamp album, I am greeted by a country map and flag
from wiki.
That does help to reinforce location.

Hi Rodney,

I don't knowwhere you get your flags, coat-of-arms and maps but take a look at these sites:

http://www.fotw.us/flags/

http://www.ngw.nl/

I use them quite often for one purpose or another.

After several errors, I was able to place all countries on the map, except for Bahrain, which I thought was part of the Persian Gulf?
Good exercise though <G>

Nice. Thanks Rod.

I didn't know all the 'stans' or Bahrain and Qatar (I knew they were in the Gulf but where?)

Early on education from the Dunes stamps also and WWII history.

Good idea for maps and flags and such for the virtual stamp album. Excellent. The more you review something the better you know it.

It was quite easy since I recently drew that part of the world in AutoCad. When I get to work, I will try Stampgal's game.

Hi Jerry,
I used to use those types of things,
but I found them clunky.

Now, I just Capture the header in Wiki.

Example : This is SG0001 in my Bahrain Folder
