I got this stamp in a group I bought out of Germany. It looks like an Sc8, but I'm not that sharp with early issues. What do you guys think?

Could you post a higher resolution scan? The Type III is characterized by complete side ornaments and a breaks in the top AND bottom outer curved line. The cuts in the top and bottom of the design has removed this characteristic.

With the top and bottom cut into the design it is difficut to tell the type without plating. The dark blue color would suggest plate 4.

I don't know. The right side ornaments don't look complete to me. Might it be a type
V Scott 24 with perfs cut Off on all 4 sides.

It is a Sc 24 type V with the perfs cut-off. Another one for the junk bin!
