I have had the great pleasure of making an exchange with member Lucky, during the past week. Her 'personal' covers are a real joy to behold. She made some lovely items for my Flag Collection which I show below. I believe I am not the only SCF member to benefit from her enthusiasm and skill, and I would like to thank her here on the forum. In return I did my best to find some Stamps on Stamps PLUS the stamps depicted to accompany them. I had some success ! Thanks Lucky Londonbus1

Me too, she put me to shame with my plain ole envelopes... inspiring is the word. Isn't just the nicest thing in the world to get something that has been made personally with you in mind? Thanks again, Lucky! |

Thanks for the link. Curse of the worker bee... not enough time to browse SCF... so. I had not seen your earlier one.
I too, want to see what she made for the rest of you. |

Well Wholly Smokes!! I had totally missed this Topic (along with the one Bfranton started). Well, I'm blushing from all the praise . Seriously though, I'm glad that you all enjoyed them and thanks for showing the scans of them. Jhlovell please email me your address and I will make one up for you. Similar to the one I made for LB but different. I never make two the same otherwise they wouldn't be custom. Special Thanks to Londonbus1 and Stampgal. Lb - The goodies you sent me are absolutely beautiful. I appreciate the extra time and effort you put in to send me those SOS plus the Stamp on the SOS that you gathered and matched up . Sg - I love the Genie stamp you used for Postage when you sent me your selection of goodies. Is that current postage in your country? If so, we need to talk. I will send you an email. Sincerely, Lucky |

By the way Londonbus1, Looking at your scan of the Flag/Eagle cover I noticed that it got hand cancelled and machine cancelled. I mailed them both at the same time and they were both hand cancelled but the Flag/Eagle one got postmarked with an additional machine cancel. I guess a postal worker must not have seen the hand cancel because it was so light and so it was fed through for a machine cancel. |

I mailed some letters today and asked for a hand stamp. The post mistress obligingly stamped them but noted that there were no guarantees that they wouldn't also get machine stamped afterward. Told her that would make the covers even more interesting. |

I'd post pics of them myself but that would be before postage and the Boyscout stamps on the Boyscout Cover really pulled it together. By the way butterfly, I would love to make you a butterfly cover. If you are interested send me an email with your address. I myself have an interest in Moths. I have many beautiful pictures I've taken of the Poplar Hawk Moth, Achemon sphinx, and the Lepidoptera moth series (just to name a few). Every year at a certain time they show up and I can only guess for mating season (?) because after they show up they only hang around for no longer than a week and then they are gone. Here's a couple pictures: Lucky |
