Okay, who can explain this?

Here's an unusual pair of stamps with the left a 410 rubber handstamp and the right a 703 wide hand electro!

Looks like somebody just used two separate handstamps. Another idea ... maybe the ink didn't take to all of the stamps in the pane, so the ones missing a clearly readable precancel were handstamped after the fact.

Staying on the subject of Westerly, RI, can anyone confirm the type of precancel shown below?

(I assume it is another L-type, however, there were a number of different ones used in that town.)

This one, newly listed for sale on ebay, is similar but very different. It is the Annona TX 835.5/841. Even though there are two different styles on the pair, the come from the same device (unlike the Westerly where they stamped it from two different devices). Very affordable oddity as the precancel only catalogs 0.20.
