Is this a precancel? The stamp is MNH, it`s obviously unused (gum is in perfect shape).

This type of precancel is usually referred to as a silent precancel because a town or city name is not included.

Here are some other precancels, although I`m not sure about the last one (Lion/Ny?).

The last example (being slightly off center) should read ILION, NY.
