Hi,

Can you tell me what type of error this is?

It look like a scratch but it is not because paper is OK.

It's really under paper surface... Is it common?

Could be some imperfection or fold in the paper.

Hi Jhlovell,

In this case, paper is ok... I saw a lot of stamps with something like that but there is always paper imperfection. This scratch is on the picture. I never saw a large band like that in design.
