Even if it's just your favorite for today/this week, or your favourite stamp of your entire collection, please share your prized posessions! This one is mine, today :)

I'm kinda into France at the moment, and you can't have France without Marianne.

I had to wait 40 years to get my hands on this

sheet of the Jammu ˝ Anna and 1 Anna watercolour printing of 1868.

And no matter what the philistines might think, I think it's lovely

Whatever I was going to post,
after seeing Stampgal's Dulac Marianne,
everything else pales.
A lovely stamp.

Too many to list. My first thought is to list my best (and most valuable). But I'll try to behave :

Scott 121. Sound and VF-XF. Definitely in need of grading!

and after 10 years of searching for the right deal, I finally acquired the following last year ...

Scott 245. Sound and VF.

I love the dark beauty and art deco design of these French issues.

By the way stampgal, did you know Edmond Dulac, the famous French illustrator who designed your stamp, also created the profile portrait of George VI that appeared on most of Great Britains definitives during his reign? Just a little art history for you.

I picked these up last year. It may be cheating to list two, but they go together really.

Now I just need a top C7 Plate block to complete the set.

This week, for a while, I am in love again with the early Heraldic Flower designs of the provinces.

Not recent purchases but recently revisited.

My all time favorite is the first really "old" stamp that I found at a Goodwill Industries store.

Much nicer than the Washington-Franklin issues I sometimes found at the local garbage dump.

In those days the local garbage dump was an unsupervised drop off at the end of a dirt road.

This has been my favorite for some time now. Not my most expensive, but a very nice strip.
