Hello All,
Here's an interesting item I've come across recently. It's a lampoon or parody of the famous Mulready postal envelope. Apparently, private stationery makers of the 1840's were threatened by it's introduction and produced their own versions mocking it.
Wish it was in better condition, but it's the first I've seen.
Will

There are many different types, and the prices often rank with genuine Mulready's

One of my side collections is the commemoration of Penny Postage, and I still don't have a Penny Black or a Mulready.........

So many stamps, so little time. And money.

Jubilee, you took the words right out of my mouth! I remarked this just Saturday to a dealer (after spending a whopping $6).

It will not surpise you then that I also belong to the same aforementioned club . . .

Mulready related so I will post it here. A stamp trader window envelope from 1980 I believe. I think it's a good modern use of postal history. The trader was James Davis and Son Ltd... now Rickmansworth Stamps Ltd.
