I am just about done cataloging Argentina (yeah I know long way to go in the alphabet, isn't it great) and I have these three that I cannot find. I am looking for a Scott number, and if that doesn't work, I will take any catalog number and near value. Your help is always appreciated with my "Quest for Retirement". (Gonna be a new reality TV show, where everyone just has to keep working)
I stand corrected, well sort of. The middle stamp looks to be 1863 SC# 7F yellow green. My 2009 Scotts gives it a value unused of $350. Hope I'm right. If it were olive green it would be $500. Green with ribbed paper $450.
On further investigation I'm getting confused. The catalogue mentions no accent on the you of Republic and a broad C in centavos. Looks like yours has no accent, but what looks like a narrow C (narrow being relative). But there's no 10c green listed with a narrow C and no accent. Do you see an accent above the you on the original stamp? Am I missing it in the scan?
