My father was the Postal Equipment Technician that set the first day cover plates for this stamp. I have the first stamps run through the canceling machine that was used to align the plates for the first day cover run. They are on plain white envelopes with each 'cancel' a fraction different as the plates where 'dialed' in to the correct spot.
I also have some other memorabilia from that day. A photo of all the dignitaries that attended. The place mat from the restaurant where the banquet was held signed by those attending, etc. Is there any interest in this? I am not a collector and have no knowledge of the value as this is a unique cover set. Thank you for your assistance.

First, Welcome to SCF. The value of items like this is hard to gauge. I have see collections like this that sell dirt cheap and other go for extremely high prices. Collections like this are so speciallized that it is hard to set the value.
It does sound like a nice and unique collection. For your reference the machine used at the Franconia PO was made by the International Postal Supply Co. it was Model HD10.
Edit: Typo
