Your welcome. It's interesting, the back of the envelope cancel reads New York Rec'd Sept 4, 3P.M. 1926. Cancels about the size of a half dollar.

That is a Commercial Air Mail (CAM) first flight cover, The commemorative cancels were normally violet, red or purple.

The route was CAM-13 with this cover being the morning flight (13N3). The contractor was Philadelphia Rapid Transit and James D. Hill was the pilot of the Fokker F.VIIa-3M aircraft. The value is $45.00.

I thought that cancellation looked familiar. Here's mine...I think it would be considered purple:

Anyone know what accounts for my backstamp showing a 2:30 PM time when Dale Kramer's is 3:00 PM?

Also, since both examples show 9:15 AM flight, aren't these both considered 13N3 instead of 13N5? Here's the link where I got that info.:
