Good finds! The first one is definitely a fountain pen of the sort I was thinking of. Believe it or not, I am so old that in primary school we used nib n' ink pens as shown in the second stamp!
I probably 'just' missed out on the 'quill' era!

I still have a couple of fountain pens in my desk. I don't know how many bother with them much anymore. One of them is a more modern fountain pen from the 1970's or 1980's, I believe, that uses an extra slim ink cartridge that has apparently been discontinued as no stationery store sells them anymore. I have a traditional fountain pen circa 1950 that I would occasionally use, however, in going to my local stationery store, the price of a bottle of ink is absolutely outrageous ... almost $10 a bottle! Obviously, because of this, I don't use either of them very much anymore. |

Challenge: a stamp showing a glass...half full or half empty, depending on your mood for the day! :) PS $10 for a bottle of ink is outrageous! Maybe I should put my old one on ebay, even though it's half full ;) :)) |

I have one that would be a challenge...an internal parasite like a tapeworm. Gross, yes - but doubt they have been immortalized on a stamp until proven otherwise.
I won't say external parasites, because I know mosquitoes are on plenty of stamps and Mozambique did come out with a set of ticks on stamps. One way to keep tourists at bay. |

While it depicts a mosquito, it also shows internal parasites, I believe, as it relates to malaria: |

Yes I agree those are the larvae of the mosquito in some brownish water. The internal stage of the parasite is the plasmodium : but I have not found it on a stamp yet :( |
