What do SCF members think of this? An "instant" commemorative stamp from Australia with the Royal Wedding Photo on it ... and still referring to the bride as "Miss Catherine Middleton"?

Heads will roll, but I'll be at the PO at 9.00 am sharpo as they are sure to be recalled :))

Some of us Brides might choose to use our maiden names beyond the wedding day - let her hold on to what vestiges remain of her identity before she is swallowed up by the machine...
(but yes, possibly a bit of a blunder by Autralia Post )
(Edit - P.S. but if I looked as gorgeous as she did on her wedding day, I wouldn't really care what anyone called me )

My local PO did not get any, whereas some country areas did. But I cheated and ordered one from Rockhampton, apparently they had a fair few but sold out as well.

AND I am beginning to think that AP is going to ignore their blunder and continue carrying on as if nothing has happened, whereas they should withdraw and reissue the stamps showing their proper titles:

"Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge"

Perf14, You could be right, there's been enough controversy over their correct titles. AP has re-issued corrected products before, the 7 Coat of Arms Pre-Stamped envelops is just one example.

Wedding Error.
I did a search and could not find another thread more appropriate so just warning collectors that well known 'make a fast buck' persons are at it again here in Australia.

They are selling New Zealand Wedding stamp Packs, with a wrong birth date on pack, not the stamps, for $165 each. This is NOT a investment, rather a donation into his pocket, beware.

Apologies, but I don't want to see collectors burnt, thus the warning.

When I first saw that add, I also could not see the investment value. However quite a few people have bought them, some of them, knowlegeable posters...so maybe they see something we don't?

Perf 14, you've make a good point, maybe there Stamp Pack collectors and that item is their pride and joy. Almost 30 years ago I did the similar, contary to seasoned collectors advice, I thought the items would repay with interest, oh, to be young again with life's experience knowledge.

I have only been collecting for just a year or so - I can make all the mistakes you made when you were young, except I will probably not live to regret them :

BTW do you collect birds on stamps or do you have real finches? or both I guess?
