Found this piece in a trade journal for the printing industry. Thought it appropriate to post here.

Actually, I found this article a bit interesting for a couple of other reasons:

1. There is no mention of MACtac on any of the data supplied by the USPS as it relates to the Celebrate! stamp; only that the stamp was being produced by American Packaging Corp./SSP.

2. The article mentions that MACtac will be supplying the "first" 100 million of the stamp labels. Since the USPS has already announced that the quantity of this stamp is 100 million, I guess that means they are the exclusive supplier.

and...perhaps most importantly for we stamp collectors...

3. Now we know who is partly to blame for our frustration with soaking off pressure sensitive adhesive stamps...as apparently this supplier has provided the pressure sensitive adhesive labels used in several of the most recent US issues.
