Its just a thought and I am sure nothing original...but if we had young collectors come to the forum that might be intimidated by older more experienced collectors ..perhaps a safe haven could be allocated for them where adults are not allowed unless invited...who knows ? Someday ?

I would be interested in seeing a "FOR KIDS" section via SCF...I know my little one is pretty computer saavy, and also enjoys his stamps...however there would have to be rules about exchanging addresses. I like the idea :)

At 41, I feel like that often ... both here and at my stamp club.

My 7 year old collector is still trying to master the spelling thing, so hitting keys on a Keyboard is still a little beyond his grasp.

philb, that's a great thought. As a parent of two young boys, though, I would feel better supervising their online activity. Although they attend virtual school, they still have a lot to learn about online safety.

That said, I think it might be neat if those of us with younger kids could set up a stamp swap for them. I know my two love getting mail and would be so excited to have other kids to trade stamps with. Maybe we could share ages and addresses and they could have a "stamp penpal." Just a thought!

I am all for a stamp youth pen pal trading program. My son also enjoys receiving mail and likes to collect stamps as well.

I will be writing back the current traders that have sent him stamps/letters soon.
