The main thing about our chosen pastime is that it takes TIME..working on our collections, corresponding with other collectors, trying to exchange or sell duplicates..if people do not have sufficent time for their hobby I can see where it set aside..and often out of sight out of mind !!

You aren't kidding about time. I've spent nearly 10 hours this weekend putting a really large quantity of stamps in my stock cards for when I become a super dealer.

Phil, I'll never start selling on ebay or anything. It's way too much trouble for the little money in it. I just like having things neat and organized because I'm pretty anal!

Greg, I stock em all away also..but now I can help you with some of your wants..i have them stored in all methods..stock pages usually for the cheapest ones..but its easier to catalog and keep track if I put the under 50 cent catalog ones in #2 glassines and the 50 cents and up in 102 cards..i knew dealers that penciled the catalog numbers under the stamps on stock cards..but that doesnt help with the catalog price...

Hey guys

I lack time for anything other than work these days. But I don't think I could ever set my collection asside again. Fall will soon come and I can't wait.

I have nearly 5000 102BK stock cards in 6 boxes (and growing) and I keep everything that will fit in there. I don't have material in every card, but they're there and ready in case I do get a batch of new duplicates in. Like you said, it makes the material easy to find and keep track of. My bigger material like souvenir sheets, etc. I keep in loose leaf stock books.

No, JAB, we really don't. If you stick with it for 10 years or more you'll find that you've accumulated material of all kind and that you won't know what to do with all of it! Just wait - you'll see.
