Peg,
I figured you were probaly meaning Obama. As to why I wouldn't get into the ceremony, it would be a madhouse of onlookers not even interested in the stamps and obtaining a ceremony program to then get signed by the honored guests. They let me into the White House and the Capital Building back in '06 after a background check, not much has changed since then except becoming a father....and changes everything.

Yes, I 've heard of Spitzer and Phil you have some interesting farmers. Our just grow corn & soy, then there are the wind farms near Chicago. LOL

StamperDude:

I received a flyer from Artopages Covers, to-day. They sell cacheted envelopes of various descriptions. They have a lovely one of Abe Lincoln. If you want details, e-mail me.

David

Yes, Bobgggg I could use that cover. I love the cachet with the flight plan and that is an interesting border as well. It would be a nice beginning to a Lincoln airmail cover collection. Plus my sister in law and brother in law live in Quincy.

OMG Yes! How could I pass up a cover from my town and sent to a town named Chevy Chase- of course a long time before the actor/comedian was born.

Johnstamp,
That is a very nice stamp. What does the text say? I don't think I've seen that one before, I don't have very many foreign Lincoln stamps.

bobgggg,
I received the covers yesterday. Thank you very much. Now I HAVE to look for more flight covers tomorrow at the STL Expo. I will also be looking for HPO's, local post, and cinderella's with a Lincoln theme. All that oddball stuff. I've taken in too many covers recently to keep track of which ones I have and don't. I have a feeling I will come away with some duplicates from the dollar cover boxes. LOL
