I'd like to hear your opinions on the proper identification of this stamp:

11A. There's an inside frame line left and right. And a very nice example of the species as well.

Thanks, Otto. That is what I thought but wanted confirmation. The stamp was listed on ebay as an 11. The same dealer also listed this stamp as an 11:

The second stamp is also an #11A. Many people have not started using the new scott numbers. It has only been a couple of years that both type I and type II stamps have had major number status. That stamp 9R5L not only has the crack but also the "gash on shoulder" which is the line of color on the top edge of the button and heads west and slightly south for 2-3mm.

That seller gets high prices for his stamps.

I had almost forgotten that some new numbers were issued for those stamps. Thanks sinclair2010.

Thanks for the background sinclair2010. I wasn't aware that the number change was a relatively recent occurrence. And you're correct about that seller commanding high prices for his stamps--the first (Pos 61R2L) closed at $17.01 and the second (Pos 9R5L) at $50.03.
