Hi All

I think that I am confusing some of the members in here with the word "Chimo"

My ID in here is Bujutsu but the word Chimo is from North American Indian languages and it literally means 'friend' or 'are you a friend' depending on the context.

So, to sum up, I don't mind either way how you address me but Bujutsu is my handle in here. Sorry for any confusion that I may have cause some of the members in here but I thought it was necessary to clear this up.

"Chimo"

The word "Chimo" is from the Inuktitut language that means 'friend' but is used as a greeting like "Hello!".
Unfortunitly there is a new meaning I saw, a slang termfor a "child molester'.

Maybe that's why some members may be confused or threatened by it.

Hi Warrehouse

I have never heard anything pertaining to child molesting before with that word. I detest those who are perverted to the point in practicing in this.

All meanings for this word are from Indian, or Inukitut, as you pointed out.

At any rate, I have been using it for some time now; so, I can't see any point in changing now.

What happened to bring this up in the 1st place?

I hope others have read this to obtain & understands the correct usage of the word!

I always assumed it was a nickname from some non-English speaking culture.
