Well I got snipped and I've done it myself so all part of the game. My question/ thought is with the variety of colors on the 3 cent washingtons is/ was there any diamonds in the mix? Also since this lot was all marked paid I assume they were used as revenues rather than postage so would that have deflated the value as well. In a nut shell what would you have paid?

Actually, there are some nice looking items there. The top row straight edge 3c Washington might be a pink, would need it hand to be sure. However the 12c and 24c look like they could have been the pick of the litter. The 6c Lincoln isn't to shabby either. What did it sell for?
Also, did you see my new arrivals? I have one in there I bought just for you. Check it out.

I agree, the 12 cent is very nice but the 24 cent has very nice centering, very uncommon for this issue. This also shows some of the diversity in color for the 1861 3 cent issue. Very nice lot with some nice cancels.

They went for $101 and I knew I should have been in higher even $111 but was concerned that the paid cancels would have devaluated them if the were used as revenues not postally. The 12 and 24 were the 2 I wanted and with the color ranges on the rose/pinks I was thinking maybe a bonus. Naturally bid went from 70-101 in 3 seconds but theres always more.
Ron I seen ur new goodies and unless your taking chickens and goats for trades I'll need some worse for wares for now. We'll talk soon.

Scott specialized values this cancel at + $15 on the 24c stamp. Also, Scott only devalues for manuscript cancellations.

You should have been $111, imo. I would have bid $75 on the 24 cent value alone. Someone got a bargain!
