I just got one little Frech collection (36 covers), about 1/3 of pre stamp and 2/3 stamp material. All covers have a preserved letters enclosed (mostly of them are letter-covers in one).

I scanned only front sides of all covers, but, if someone is interested to see more of this material, I can scan also back side of the covers and entire letters.

All scans are uploaded on my Photobucket page, because there is really lot of them, so that we preserve the space on this forum.

filipo, nice collection of early French covers and they appear to be in good condition. Some very nice cancel strikes, I really like the large red oval cancels. Thanks for posting.

Fantastic window in history. Have you had a chance to research any of the letters and are they all from the same source. I would imagine quite a bit of information could be compiled. Then again if they are in french it would take alot of translation. Clarity on postmarks is great for the period.

Russ, thanks again, you are always so helpful and full of informations! Respect!

I think that I will get soon similar collection of the old English letters, in which, as I remembered, you are more interested. So, I will scan them to, and upload in the same place.

Nitrolures, thank you for the comment! I got them from them same source, and, because they are almost all in the same condition - excellent - I suppose that they were cared in the same place for a long time... in some early personal collection maybe or an archive? I still didn't had a chance to research them, because my French is pretty poor, and it will take me to much time to transcribe and translate them... shame on me.
