Outside of Scott's, obviously, what else would you recommend to help me fill the albums? [in re: W-Fs, shades, plates, perfins, precancels, forgery, etc. etc.]

You might consider a membership with the American Philatelic Society which entitles you to the use of their library and then you would not have to buy your books or at least you could look at them first and decide if they were worth buying. - jeff
