A cheap one that I snagged off ebay and just received today.

On the label is printed "Geoffnet" or "Opened". I'm not entirely sure what's printed on the purple cancel.

I haven't seen too many censor covers, but most that I've seen have been opened around the side edges of the cover. This one appears, for whatever reason, to be opened from the flat side of the reverse (you can see part of the incision to the left of the label.)

The label and cancel on the back basically show that it was opened by the Wehrmacht censors, and it passed.

The purple cancel says "Geprüft / Oberkommando der Wehrmacht", which translates roughly to "Tested / High Command of the Wehrmacht".

This cover is dated before we were at war...
Does anyone know if we traded mail with Germany (or any other)
AFTER the shooting started? If so, how did they exchange mail?
