Has anyone checked out this page of cover sales? There are a number of "local post" stamps/labels included, some of which I haven't heard of before (i.e. Bohemia Gold Mines Local Post, Rio Grande Navy Local Post, Chautaque Lake Local Post, etc.)

wt1 I have some US & Canada Modern Local posts guides if you need info. Then ones above are common as far as these posts go! Stamperdude & myself have issued local post stamps & or chates!

Thanks. I guess they are more common than I thought. I don't actively collect them, but do find them interesting.

By the way, what are "chates"?

Thanks. I guess this is the most popular link that I came across for those interested in the subject, although I'd be more interested in legitimate older local posts that had some delivery activity versus just a cinderella that was created at the whim of a collector:
