Thanks for all the information.

I have downloaded 'Gimp' and have not been successful yet.....

BAYERN1kreuzer stated that 'Irfan View' will do the task, but again, I cannot find any mention of 'combine, join, meld, or merge' in the help files. Can you give me more details of how to use this program?

Thanks,
Stamporator

Hi 'finches', thanks for the recommendation of using Photobucket.

I have just tried using Photobucket, and correct me if I am wrong, but this program does NOT combine 2 or more photos into a single file. What is seems to do is allow you to achive all your photos and then you can select any number to display together, providing you with the link code to accomplish the display of multiple photos together. But again, it does not seem to actually make a single photo file of multiple photos. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Anymore recommendations of software to use?

Thanks for everyone's input and comments.

After trying all the recommended suggestions I have decided on 'photoscape' to combine multiple photos into a single photo file. It has the capability from a main menu item and is easy to use yet very powerful with multiple selections. Highly recommended.

Get scan of both front and back and bring them both up on your screen. move the windows close together as you would like and then use your computers snipping tool in your computers 'accessories' to capture both images into 1 file. upload onto photobucket and post link.

Stamporator, you may be correct about creating a third file using two.

Personally I prefer the simplicity of choosing any two stored images for one Forum Posting without having that third combined file floating around. For me, the less files the better.
