I like the GrossDeutsches Stamps because they seem different to me, plus I dont have many at all. Notice her necklace?

Anyway, I looked up "grossdeutsches" and found this: Grossdeutsches Reich: semi-postals of Germany

My question is, what is the translation? Is grossdeutsches translate to semipostal?

My 2nd question is, what does the letters RAD on thst stamp represent?

So, since this a semi-postal because I see in the upper right, 6+4, but semipostal for what? What did the +4 go to?

Thanks,
SueStamps

Hi Sue

It just means Greater Germany used on WWII German stamps from 1944 till the end of the war.

RAD stands for Reichsarbeitsdienst ( Reich Labour Service )

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichsarbeitsdienst

The surcharge raised probably ended up in the Nazi party.

Hi lithograving,
Wow, thank you so much for the link and the information. I just love this stamp.

I went through a bunch more stamps and have a lot more questions and will be posting soon, but first wanted to be sure I have thanked everyone from my past threads.

I need to take a stamp class, lolol.
Thanks again!

Hi Sue

You are taking a "stamp class" with this group. Keep asking your questions.
