Red Hook Post Office Anti Canadian ??

While I was at the post office this morning getting a letter off to Mr. Giles...i asked for a 72 cent stamp for Canada...WE DONT HAVE ANY ! instead of being quick and asking why not or asking if they had something against Canada..the line behind me was building so I had them put a 30 cent label and a 42 cent Olympic stamp on the envelope..the stamp and label were both nicely hand cancelled..i dont think I ever saw a label hand cancelled !

Phil..the same thing happend to me, so I was forced
to send Davids letter with a metered stamp from the office.

They were out of 42 centers also, so guess, what you are
also getting

I am used to it !!

thank-you for your effort. Smaller post offices often do not carry all stamps. I was lucky in Texas... the postmaster of the Early, TX post office was a stamp collector... so he had EVERYTHING in stock!
