I like that there are people here that are new to stamp collecting and or interested in stamp collecting..they are the Future..over the years I have been helped greatly by more experienced or generous collectors...now its my turn...i am new here and sometimes I think I might be posting too often..i am a life paid up member of the A.P.S. if you pay your dues and live that long..actually they let you wait 32 or 33 years instead of 30..but thats ok..you can get the same deal..i guess I love stamps and a lot of my friends are stamp collectors....

Hi Phil....

I agree, the future of collecting needs our help........and helping beginners is one of the aspects of the hobby that I really enjoy.

It's always good to keep the hobby going... it is so rewarding. Stamp collecting is booming in my part of Canada; especially with the schoolchildren.

I like the same things Phil does, and the fact that there are newer collectors that I can send all my extras to. It's just a matter of getting hundreds of new collectors hooked on stamps so we will have buyers for our collections when we get old(er) and they get richer!

"When I go, the collection comes with me, its in my will"

Is it in the will because you chose to put it there or did the wife insist?

Bobgggg:

Should I mail you a package wwith a brick in it? I'll mark "STAMPS" on the customs declaration. Then Celeste will hit you over the head with the package saying "You bought more stamps! You bought more stamps!"

Tee Hee Hee!

Phil told me to do this.

David..You are a little too late, for the brick trick.
About two and a half years ago, a brick was mailed
to my home, marked stamps...

Just one of Tycophils, pranks....

On another occasion, he sent me an envelope, full
of red fire ants, because I sniped him on an ebay
auction, with three seconds remaining

For anyone interested, Tycophil was a good friend of ours
who passed away about 2 years ago.

He collected classic US, and started his Grandson on a Ships
topical collection.

We still send his grandson, a package of ships, on a monthly basis.
