Here's a scan of an envelope I received this week from the Falkland Islands.

It contains British Antarctica stamps I ordered from the Philatelic Bureau. I appreciate the job they did with hand canceling the stamps, but it strikes me odd that they not include a return address?

Here's a closeup of the stamps.

I'm a soaker.

The stamps are interesing -- the Sea Lions is a WWF issue. The Search & Rescue chopper is the 70th anniversary.

The Albino Rockhopper (top left) just says "Airmail Postcard" so I don't know the denomination -- the others total 1.40

That takes courage, I can never seem to do it.

The Airmail postcard is unusual, illustrates
tourism is popular there.
I guess they would rely on authorities opening
the cover to recover a return address.

I have had trades with SCF members who do not include
return addresses, inside or out, I find that unusual.

I wouldn't think that many people visit the Falklands but the occasional cruise ship comes in - edit about 70000 cruise visitors a year now so much more than when I was there.
I would say those items would be significantly harder to find genuinely postally used although stamps and coins are popular with collectors and as such are listed are a major income source.
