I have no idea what this is really.
It was in a bag of stamps I bought.
I like it, but I don't know anything about this.
What is this, and what was it used for?

Hi Sue,

This is what is referred to as a cinderella. It was not issue for postage, but to commemorate the International Philatelic Exhibition in NY in 1947. The exhibition is marking the 100th anniversary of the first US postage stamp.
