I thought I'd post some interesting philatelic related definitions every once in a while. Here are the first three:

1. Admirals: A nickname for three British Commonwealth definitive series: Canada 1912-1925 (Scott Nos. 104-34); New Zealand 1926 (Scott Nos. 182-84); Rhodesia 1913-19 (Scott Nos. 119-38). The stamps depict King George V in naval uniform.

2. Bluenose: The nickname for Canada Scott 158, the 50˘ issue of 1929, picturing the schooner Bluenose.

3. Changeling: A stamp whose color has been changed-intentionally or unintentionally-by contact with a chemical or exposure to light.

I have to bite my tongue before getting into politics,
here, but the definition of changeling has to do with
changing colors.

I think some of those U.S air mail stamps that show scenes of U.S.A, might classify as changlings. I put them into the chemical H2O and they come out faded.
